There are so many questions about how to record video on Vista on this post… Why? because that guide only works on Windows XP. I don’t know why Vista’s Windows Movie Maker can’t detect Crystal Eye webcam as recording device… I hope it doesn’t happen on Windows Seven. Debut is a simple, easy to use video recorder that lets you capture video files directly on your PC using a webcam (video camera), or capture device (from video). Debut can also capture and record almost anything that can be played or displayed on the computer screen as well as recording audio. The program saves the video on your hard drive as avi, wmv or many other file types. You can also capture a snapshot (video still) from a recording and save it to jpg. Hi Michael, click Options > click Output tab > then change output format…, change it to *.avi, *.wmv, or *.asf
in addition, you may install K-Lite codec pack (Download here) before record a video

Ahh!!! I need help! Ok, so I downloaded this like a few weeks ago and now when I press record, it says unable to start recording! I am so mad! Can someone please help me? Thanks.
I don’t know much about this kind of thing…I want to video my dog in her crate during the day and need to be able to record about 5 hours of footage at a time. I recorded 2 minutes as a test and it was 46 MB (as a .wmv) file. If I’m doing the math correctly, 5 hours would end up taking up alot of my Hard Drive space. What settings could I change to make the video file smaller?

I have an extensa 5620 laptop…..it has a crystal eye built in webcam…i have downloaded the debut video recording software and it says no camera present. I went into the device manage and it says that the device (the crystal eye webcam) is working properly…..the only option i have to choose from in the video capture device is the usb video device….it does not show acer crystal eye. Please help. Thank you.
