New laptop from Acer, Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T has design and specifications just like Aspire 3810T, the only difference is just the weight and the dimensions. Acer Aspire 4810T is bigger and of course it has larger screen than Aspire 3810T (Although the max resolution is the same)… Acer Aspire 4810T has 14″ HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution LCD screen and weighs only 1.9 Kg (4,2 pounds). Just like other aspire timeline laptop, Acer claims Aspire 4810T has more than 8 hours battery life… long enough to surf the web until you tired and fall asleep

Khalil you need to change the bios config of your hard disk to IDE not SATA.

HI Khalil, the problem is due to the BIOS setting of the Hard Disk set to IDE that will solve the problem. this under windows XP installation. Had the same problem

Bought the Acer 4810T. I can see the wireless connection is OK by using IPConfig command. I can also ping to http://www.google.com. But my browser, boh IE and FireFox, can’t display the Google home page. Do you know why? Thanks.

I bought and Acer Aspire laptop 4810T but within a short time, the display screen developed a problem.
I see greenish colour throughout the screen. It shows lines parralently running horrizontally across the screen leaving unclear vision of the desktop.
All this happen without the laptot falling down of being subjected to external forces.
Kindly advice what the cause of this problem could be.

How do I replace the keyboard?
I read on another blog that you just snap it off, but I can’t seem to do it. I have my replacement keyboard (US style) because I can’t stand the international keyboard….specifically the left hand shift key! It’s in the wrong place!!!
this is for Ricards, well i had thesame problem too at first but i ntoiced that everytime i use a plug in internet connection, my cam doesnt work but when i started using the wi-fi connection, it workde really clear although u might have problem if u have so much light at the background,

Laptop ethernet controller is a big problem. I am using Windows 7 and the ethernet controller in it is of Atheros. When broadband is connected to it through LAN, laptop hangs. Even sometimes hangs without using the ethernet controller. Then I have to switch off the laptop from power button and then restart again.
So don’t go for this laptop if you want to use windows 7 or want to use LAN port.

i have acer aspire 4810t with 4G DDR3 memory and 320G HDD using window vista home premium. when i open 2 window or more internet explore,my laptop will be “HANG”. it happen for every time. i dont know what happen..can u help me?????????
I have had the 4810t since christmas, and all I have experienced is problems. The 1.4 SINGLE CORE processor cant even handle skimming through pictures without freezing or crashing, and any multitask operation almost always freezes the screen and then blacks out. Out of the X amount of times I’ve run it, about 50-75% of the time it has crashed. The CD ejector is nearly always unresponsive, the laptop sometimes fails to start programs.
HOWEVER… there is an extraordinary battery life and the display is rather good.
Overall, waste of money, I give 2/10
